Reality TV personality Christine Brown, known for her role on the show Sister Wives, recently opened up about the unexpected proposal she received from her now-husband David Woolley. As a member of a prominent polygamist family and the granddaughter of Rulon C. Allred, Christine is considered polygamist royalty. After being married to Kody Brown, who is also known for his involvement in the polygamist lifestyle, Christine decided to leave him due to her unhappiness living in Arizona.
In November 2021, Christine and Kody publicly announced their split. However, Christine’s romantic life took an unexpected turn when she met David on the dating app Stir. The couple got married in October 2023. During an interview with E!News, Christine and David shared details about their relationship and the proposal that took Christine by surprise.
David revealed that their second date involved a trip to watch The Little Mermaid, where he realized that Christine was the person he wanted to be with. It was on a hiking trip in April 2023 when David decided to pop the question. Christine was completely clueless about his plans. David had chosen a scenic location in Moab, Utah to propose to Christine, on a cliff overlooking breathtaking views.
While brainstorming proposal ideas, David’s children and Christine’s children suggested grand gestures, but David wanted to make the proposal personal and meaningful to them. He wanted to do it his own way. Ultimately, David’s heartfelt proposal on the picturesque cliff in Moab captured Christine’s heart and marked the beginning of their new chapter together.
In retrospect, Christine reflects on how she knew that David was her soulmate, with the proposal being a significant milestone in their relationship.
Unaware of the surprise awaiting her, Christine was completely taken aback when she discovered that David had hidden the ring within his hoodie coat.
