Children of Sister Wives Speak Out: Strongly Reject Polygamy and its Unnecessary Drama

According to Janelle’s kids, they recognized that “polygamy” could potentially be a “wonderful way of life,” although they admitted, “Personally, I doubt my ability to successfully navigate it.”

Christine Brown’s children, Mykelti and Ysabel, opened up about their views on polygamy following their mother’s new monogamous marriage to David Woolley. In the second part of her wedding special, the Sister Wives alum’s daughters expressed that they would never want to be a part of a plural marriage, especially after witnessing the downfall of their parents’ relationship.

Mykelti revealed that her perspective on polygamy began to change during their time in Las Vegas. She acknowledged the immense happiness her mother has found with David and believes it highlights the flaws in her parents’ previous marriage. While she appreciates the unique experience of growing up in a large family, she firmly believes that polygamy is a flawed concept. Mykelti emphasized that her parents, as well as herself, deserve a relationship that fulfills their individual needs, and she doesn’t think polygamy can provide that. These are her personal beliefs and opinions on the matter.

Christine Brown’s daughter, Ysabel, recently expressed her agreement with her older sister’s viewpoint on polygamy. Despite acknowledging that her parents, Christine and Kody, had a wonderful life together, Ysabel stated that she personally would never choose to live in a polygamous household. However, she did appreciate growing up with multiple siblings and mothers, as it brought a unique sense of enjoyment and excitement to her life. Nevertheless, when it comes to her own future, Ysabel stated that she would opt for a different lifestyle for her own children.

In a span of 14 months, Kody experienced the departure of three of his wives from their plural marriage. Christine was the first to make the decision to leave in November 2021. Then, in December 2022, news came out that he had separated from his second wife, Janelle Brown. Just a month later, in January, it was confirmed that his relationship with his first wife, Meri Brown, had become distant and platonic over the years. As of now, Robyn Brown remains as his only wife.

It seems that Kody’s children also have their doubts about polygamy. Gabriel, the son of Janelle and Kody, believes that polygamy can be a beautiful lifestyle for those who genuinely desire it and are willing to accept everything that comes with it. However, his sister Savannah personally feels that she would never be able to make it work.
