Trevor from Love Is Blind Reflects on How the Timing of His Pod Date Might Have Shaped His Journey on the Show (Exclusive Interview)

According to Trevor Sova, he believes that if his date with his strongest connection in the pods had been planned sooner, there might have been a chance for them to end up together.

Trevor Sova believes that his Love Is Blind experience would have turned out differently if one crucial element had worked in his favor. In the popular Netflix series’ sixth season, Trevor formed a deep connection with Chelsea Blackwell while communicating in the pods. She became his top choice, although Chelsea found herself torn between Trevor and Jimmy Presnell. In a twist of fate, both men were prepared to propose to the 31-year-old flight attendant and event planner on the same day. Unfortunately for Trevor, Chelsea’s date with Jimmy, age 28, occurred first, leading her to accept his proposal and break things off with Trevor shortly after.
Now, the 31-year-old Trevor is opening up to PEOPLE magazine and acknowledging that he believes the outcome might have been different had he gone on his date with Chelsea first. He explains, “I do, because I think the way it’s structured, whoever you’ve interacted with most recently is the person you’re thinking about the most. So Chelsea had a night date with Jimmy the evening before for around five and a half hours. Then Jimmy saw her right away in the morning and proposed, whereas I met her later in the day.” He goes on to say, “So, if you had switched the order, it could have gone either way. I can’t say for certain, but there was a possibility.”

Reflecting on the day Chelsea ended their relationship, Trevor reveals that he had no clue that it was going to happen. He walked into the situation feeling confident, as he had never connected with someone like he did with Chelsea. However, he was completely taken aback when he saw her nonchalant reaction and realized that she had accepted a proposal from someone else. While he was shocked, Trevor is proud of how he handled their breakup. Looking back on his experience on Love Is Blind, he admits that he would have been more discreet with the information he shared with the other guys and approached the show more strategically. He now recognizes that it was not just about finding his ideal partner, but also a competition that others could manipulate to their advantage.

Chelsea and Jimmy are now planning their wedding and decided to escape to Punta Cana for a romantic vacation with their friends. However, their trip hit a rough patch when an argument broke out between them. It all started when Jimmy made a comment about AD’s impressive physique during a group gathering, which Chelsea took offense to.
During episode 6, Chelsea expressed her discomfort, saying, “It was such an awkward situation for me, and it really saddened me that you didn’t consider the context of the situation. I didn’t feel cherished by you. I ended up sitting alone after you praised her body… it made me feel uneasy.”
