Check out the latest updates on the Love Is Blind couples to see which pairs are still going strong and which ones have called it quits.
Curious about what’s happening with your favorite Love Is Blind couples? Since its debut in 2020, this popular Netflix reality show has had its fair share of ups and downs. With singles getting engaged without seeing each other in person, it’s been quite the rollercoaster ride.
While not every couple has made it down the aisle, there have been some success stories. Believe it or not, eight couples from the show are still happily married and going strong.
With season 6 set to premiere on Netflix, it’s the perfect time to catch up on where all the couples from seasons 1 through 5 are now. Find out who’s still madly in love and who decided to part ways.
On season 5 of the show, Lydia Velez Gonzalez and James ‘Milton’ Johnson IV left as a married couple, having met, dated, and gotten engaged in the pods. Despite the challenges they faced on the reality show, they revealed on the reunion special that they were still happily married almost a year and a half later.
In a recent interview with Entertainment Weekly, Lydia and James provided an update on their marriage and mentioned that they are currently in a long-distance relationship as they work on advancing in their careers.
In the pods, Izzy Zapata made connections with a few women, but it was ultimately Stacy Snyder who captured his heart and received his marriage proposal. Despite saying yes to Zapata on their wedding day, Snyder wasn’t quite ready for that next step. Zapata reassured her of his love and they shared a kiss at the ceremony.
While they initially seemed to be getting along well and considering dating again, Zapata later felt the need for some space. In a follow-up interview with PEOPLE, Zapata mentioned that he and Snyder are still friends and have supported each other through the online criticism they’ve faced since the show.
Although their friendship has created some awkward moments for their current partners, Zapata noted that his new girlfriend has been incredibly supportive and understanding.
Aaliyah Cosby left the experiment after Uche Okoroha revealed his past relationship with her friend Lydia Velez Gonzalez. Okoroha was heartbroken by her departure but tried to reconcile with Cosby, who initially rejected him. However, they later met for lunch where Cosby was willing to give their relationship another shot. Surprisingly, it was Okoroha who turned her down, citing Cosby’s inconsistent and unpredictable behavior post-experiment. Okoroha clarified on the Miss Understood podcast that they did continue their relationship despite how it was portrayed on the show.
Johnie Maraist and Chris Fox’s relationship on the show was quite complicated. Despite initially connecting in the pods, Maraist decided to break things off to pursue Zapata, only to return to Fox later on. Despite Fox initially rejecting her, it was later revealed that the two eventually rekindled their bond and chose to date outside of the pods. However, during the reunion special, Fox admitted that they had broken up after he had cheated on her. Shortly afterward, Maraist went public with her new boyfriend, Alex Yovanovic, on Instagram, sharing a video collage of them together with the caption, “I’m doing just fine 🩵.”
Taylor Rue and Jared “JP” Pierce were an instant hit in the pods, getting engaged first in season 5 of the show. However, their romance fizzled out quickly after their initial connection didn’t translate well in person, leading to a breakup during their Mexico trip. In a surprising turn of events, Pierce made his new relationship with Ellen public on Instagram in October 2023, praising her as the “sweetest, most loving, caring, awesome, sexy, and fun person” he’s ever met. He couldn’t help but gush about how great she is in the caption of their adorable photos together.
After a tumultuous journey on the show, Jackie Bonds and Marshall Glaze never made it to the wedding day. Bonds, deciding to follow her heart, skipped her dress fitting and reconnected with Josh Demas over coffee. They confessed their love for each other, leading Bonds to end her engagement with Glaze.
Glaze, reflecting on their past, expressed no regrets about their relationship. He believes that everything happens for a reason and holds no ill will towards anyone. He prefers to let go of grudges and focus on living life to the fullest.
During a reunion special, Bonds and Demas shared that they were happily living together with their beloved pet dog and fish. However, in a surprising turn of events, Bonds announced their split in a candid Instagram Live in September 2023.
On the other hand, Glaze introduced his new girlfriend, Chay Barnes, during the After the Altar special. Celebrating their one-year anniversary in July, Glaze expressed gratitude for their resilient journey and unconditional love for each other. Here’s to many more years together.
After overcoming some initial bumps in the road, Chelsea Griffin and Kwame Appiah are now happily married despite challenges such as Appiah’s mother’s disapproval and a flirty encounter with his ex, Micah Lussier. At their wedding, Griffin expressed her love and excitement for the adventures ahead as Appiah’s wife.
Griffin shared with PEOPLE that she harbors no resentment towards Lussier and is focused on moving forward in her relationship with Appiah. She believes that if someone is interested in her man, they must be pretty great, like her. Griffin sees everything that happened as fate and holds no grudges.
Since tying the knot, Griffin has met Appiah’s mother, describing it as a positive and promising experience. She acknowledges that their journey together has been unconventional, but they embrace it wholeheartedly and look forward to what lies ahead.
Discussing their future plans as a couple after Love Is Blind: After the Altar, Appiah mentioned their desire for flexibility and options, especially when it comes to deciding on a possible relocation. They are open to various possibilities and believe having multiple choices will help them navigate their marriage journey smoothly.
Micah Lussier and Paul Peden encountered their fair share of challenges in their relationship from the start, particularly when it came to their differing visions of the future. Ultimately, they made the difficult decision not to exchange vows at the wedding, with Peden expressing his feelings to Lussier by saying, “I care about you, but I don’t think we’re the right fit at this point in time. I feel like we’re not in sync.”
In an interview with PEOPLE, Lussier shared that she wanted Peden to respond first at the wedding because she didn’t want to pressure him into a decision. “I didn’t want him to feel like he was in a tough spot,” she explained. “I wanted him to feel free to say yes or no based on what he truly felt inside. And I knew him well enough to know that was the only way to get an honest answer.”
At the Love Is Blind reunion, the former couple revealed that they had continued to see each other after saying their goodbyes at the wedding, but they have since gone their separate ways. By May 2023, Peden had gone public with his new girlfriend, Geneva Dunham, with whom he has been in a relationship with ever since.
Tiffany Pennywell and Brett Brown were among the early couples to get engaged, and their wedding day went off without a hitch as they exchanged vows. Pennywell became emotional as she shared with Brown, “Throughout this entire journey, you have always been true to yourself, and that’s how I knew I was in love with you. It wasn’t just physical attraction, but the way you connected with my soul.”
Although they have had their share of challenges, the couple has managed to overcome them. Reflecting on their journey, Tiffany shared, “One of the toughest hurdles for me was figuring out how to adjust to a new city. I had my life perfectly set up in Seattle, but I couldn’t move back there.”
Despite the obstacles they faced, Tiffany and Brett are now happily married and recently celebrated their first wedding anniversary with a night out at a Lakers game in May 2023. Posting on Instagram, Pennywell wrote, “It’s crazy how time flies. One year down, and many more to come!”
After breaking up with Bliss Poureetezadi in the pods to pursue a relationship with Irina Solomonova, Zack Goytowski eventually reconnected with Poureetezadi and the two got engaged. They later decided to tie the knot, sharing their first dance to “I Hope You Dance” by Lee Ann Womack and Sons of the Desert.
Poureetezadi shared with PEOPLE that everything that happened after they got back together confirmed their decision to be together. The Love Is Blind: After the Altar special showed the couple navigating living together, including the challenge of Goytowski’s allergies to Poureetezadi’s pets, which led her to give them to her mom and sister.
“We’ve had to make sacrifices for each other, even in the short time we’ve been married,” Poureetezadi told PEOPLE. “It was a beautiful bonding moment for us, realizing that relationships involve not just compromises in small things, but also in big decisions.”
In November 2023, PEOPLE exclusively announced that Poureetezadi and Goytowski were expecting their first child, due in spring 2024. Poureetezadi expressed both excitement and nerves about the upcoming addition to their family.
After overcoming early challenges in their relationship, including the prospect of being long-distance, Raven Ross eventually said “I do” to SK Alagbada on their wedding day. However, Alagbada surprised everyone later on by revealing he couldn’t marry Ross despite his love for her.
Despite this setback, the couple worked on their issues and at the reunion, they shared that they had reignited their love. Sadly, in November 2022, they announced their separation following allegations of Alagbada’s online infidelity.
“We are heartbroken to announce that we have chosen to part ways,” their statement expressed. “Due to the legal matters concerning these accusations, we cannot disclose further details and kindly request privacy during this challenging period.”
In February 2023, Alagbada spoke up in an exclusive interview with PEOPLE. While he denied physically being unfaithful to Ross, he did confess to engaging in an “inappropriate” conversation with another woman during their relationship.
“I’m speaking out now because I believe it’s important to take responsibility for my actions, for Raven’s sake, for everyone watching, and for myself,” Alagbada stated during the interview. “This isn’t about making excuses – it’s about acknowledging my mistakes, learning from them, and continuing to grow as a person.”
The couple agreed to get married and have remained happily married ever since. During the season 3 reunion, Alfia expressed, “I have never felt as loved as I do by him.” She shared with PEOPLE exclusively, “Despite our different backgrounds, our shared love for family is what matters most. Money can’t compare to the love I have for Brennon. He means everything to me.”
In January 2024, PEOPLE revealed exclusively that they were expecting their first child together. Lemieux mentioned, “People always say that things happen when you least expect it, and that was true for us when we met. We both had stopped dating and then unexpectedly crossed paths on a show. The same goes for this pregnancy – we didn’t expect it, but it’s a wonderful surprise.”
Despite a bumpy beginning, Zanab Jaffrey ultimately decided to refuse Cole Barnett’s proposal at the wedding, expressing her feelings about how he had treated her in the weeks leading up to that moment. After another intense conversation during the reunion special, Jaffrey revealed to PEOPLE that she and Barnett have cut off communication completely.
Following their dramatic breakup at the altar, Nancy Rodriguez and Bartise Bowden revisited the rollercoaster of their relationship and dropped some shocking revelations during their reunion. One surprise bombshell was the claim that Bowden had already moved on with a “tall blonde” just days after they called off their wedding.
While Rodriguez expressed her hope for a friendship with Bowden in the future, she admitted that she couldn’t see the benefits of that at the present moment. In April 2023, Bowden made a surprising announcement that he had become a father to a baby boy, his first child. However, he chose not to disclose the identity of the mother or his son’s name in his social media post. Representatives for Bowden declined to provide further information to PEOPLE magazine regarding the baby’s mother.
Despite their initial differences, Colleen Reed and Matt Bolton defied the odds and said “I do” on their wedding day. In a recent reunion special, they shared that their marriage is still going strong. After nearly two years of being married, they finally took the leap and moved in together in June 2023.
According to Bolton, the transition from the show to real life was not easy, but it taught them valuable lessons about each other. “It was a bit rocky at first when we left the show,” Bolton disclosed to PEOPLE. “But it’s all about finding ways to merge your lives together. You have to figure out how to blend your schedules and priorities, even if it means giving up some of your weekend activities.”
Shaina Hurley and Kyle Abrams from season 2 of the show decided to part ways after not getting engaged. Both have since found love with other people.
Recently, Hurley got married to Christos Lardakis in a simple courthouse ceremony in July 2022. They later had a beautiful wedding in Vouliagmeni, Greece.
On the other hand, Abrams was in a relationship with Deepti Vempati, his costar, in March 2022. They confirmed their romance on Love Is Blind: After the Altar, but sadly, they broke up shortly after. However, in April 2023, Abrams announced his engagement to Tania Deleanos, Vice President of Deleanos Financial.
Deepti Vempati and Abhishek “Shake” Chatterjee, who formed a strong bond in season 2, made the mutual decision to call off their wedding plans. Following this, Vempati was rumored to be in a relationship with fellow cast member Kyle Abrams. Although they confirmed their relationship on Love Is Blind: After the Altar, they eventually announced their split.
On the other hand, Chatterjee found love with his new girlfriend, Emily, and they went public with their relationship in March 2022.
Jarrette Jones and Iyanna McNeely tied the knot in a memorable ceremony at the end of season 2, where Jones expressed his joy by exclaiming, “I just married the woman of my dreams. I’m absolutely ecstatic right now — floating on cloud nine.”
However, the couple revealed their decision to part ways in August 2022. In a joint statement, they announced, “After careful consideration, we have come to the difficult decision to separate and initiate the process of divorce. While we still care for each other deeply, we recognize that our paths are diverging, and that’s okay.”
Their divorce was finalized in November of the same year. McNeely took to TikTok to share the news, reflecting, “It’s official. Going through a divorce truly feels like grieving. Despite the jokes about the length of our marriage, I truly believed in it. My aspirations made it real. My dedication made it real. My tears made it real.”
After deciding not to get married at the end of season 2, Natalie Lee and Shayne Jansen kept seeing each other even after the show ended. However, Jansen recently revealed on Nick Viall’s Viall Files podcast in March 2022 that they have now split up. When questioned about his relationship with Lee, he stated, “I’m finally done. It’s finished.”
In season 2, Mallory Zapata and Salvador Perez made a mutual decision to not tie the knot. However, rumors of a romantic connection between Perez and his costar Natalie Lee started swirling in March 2022. Despite speculation, Lee set the record straight by clarifying that they were simply “extremely close friends” and not romantically involved.
Following their meeting and marriage in season 2, Danielle Ruhl and Nick Thompson have decided to part ways after tying the knot in June 2021.
In August 2022, Ruhl initiated divorce proceedings against Thompson at Cook County Circuit Court in Illinois, as indicated by court records obtained by PEOPLE.
In response, the couple took to social media in September to share their individual perspectives on the situation. Ruhl expressed, “It took some time for me to openly discuss the end of my marriage, as the feelings are still fresh. I will always have affection for Nick and cherish the time we spent together. Remember – prioritize yourself.” Thompson added, “I am devastated by the breakdown of my marriage. I firmly believe that I did my best and gave it my all.”
Despite their separation, Ruhl and Thompson later disclosed that they have maintained a positive relationship, with Ruhl appearing as a special guest on Thompson’s podcast, Eyes Wide Open, in May 2023. Reflecting on their reunion, Ruhl remarked, “It felt like no time had passed, yet a lot of time had indeed gone by. It was a strange sensation. We shared all those experiences together, but no one else, not even my friends or fellow show participants, had the same understanding that we did. That’s why it was challenging to seek solace elsewhere. Only you and I can truly empathize with this.”
Following their engagement on the show, Diamond Jack and Carlton Morton faced challenges in their relationship when Morton disclosed his bisexuality. Morton admitted to PEOPLE that they both struggled to navigate this revelation, leading to their relationship’s downfall.
Although they reconciled at the Love Is Blind reunion in March 2020, Jack later decided to block Morton on social media in the following month.
Amber Pike and Matt Barnett exchanged vows and became husband and wife in the season 1 finale back in November 2018. Their love story has continued to blossom ever since, culminating in a joyous celebration of their fifth wedding anniversary in November 2023.
In a heartwarming post featuring a video capturing their tender moments, Pike expressed her deep affection for Barnett, saying, “After 5 years, my love for you continues to grow stronger each day. We’ve had our ups and downs, made our fair share of mistakes, but what truly matters is the effort we put in to support each other and evolve together. I am grateful for how we choose to navigate life as a team.”
Though they didn’t tie the knot in season 1, Giannina Gibelli and Damian Powers from the reality show decided to keep dating. Sadly, their relationship came to an end in August 2021. Moving forward, Giannina found romance with another reality TV personality. She went public on Instagram with her relationship with Blake Horstmann, known from The Bachelorette, in June 2022. The couple first met while filming the competition series All Star Shore on Paramount+. To mark their first year together, Giannina and Blake had a special trip to Colorado in December 2022, making it a truly magical anniversary celebration.
Lauren Speed and Cameron Hamilton are still going strong after tying the knot in the season 1 finale in November 2018. The couple regularly shares glimpses of their love story on social media and even co-authored a book titled Leap of Faith: Finding Love the Modern Way in June 2021.
For their fifth wedding anniversary in November 2023, the couple renewed their vows at Bellagio Resort and Casino in Las Vegas. Reflecting on their journey, Speed shared with PEOPLE, “Every day, I find myself falling more in love with Cam, which I never thought possible. I am grateful for where we are now and proud of our growth together.”
Hamilton expressed his thoughts on reaching the five-year milestone, saying, “Five years can seem long and short at the same time, depending on perspective. While time has flown by, we’ve also faced challenges that have required hard work to strengthen our bond. I am thankful for those tough times as they have ultimately made our marriage stronger.”
Kelly Chase and Kenny Barnes both decided to call it quits at the altar. Since then, Chase had a brief fling with a friend who was present at her Love Is Blind wedding, but things didn’t quite work out. On the other hand, Barnes found love again and got engaged to his girlfriend, Alexandra Garrison, in August 2020 after dating for just over a year. Despite their failed relationship on the show, Chase and Barnes seem to be on good terms now, as evidenced by Chase’s excited comment on Barnes’ engagement announcement on Instagram.
After their dramatic breakup at the altar in season one, Jessica Batten and Mark Cuevas have both moved on and found love elsewhere. Batten said “I do” to Benjamin McGrath in a lovely ceremony a year after getting engaged in September 2021.
Fast forward to January 2023, and the couple shared the exciting news that they were expecting their first child together. Their family grew in June with the arrival of a baby boy, joining McGrath’s daughter Poppy and son Ethan from a previous relationship.
On the other hand, Cuevas has also found happiness in marriage and starting a family of his own. In April 2021, Cuevas and his then-fiancée Aubrey Rainey welcomed their first son. The family welcomed another boy in February 2022 before exchanging vows in a heartfelt ceremony in September 2022.
