Bliss expresses her wishes for Irina to experience growth and healing, hoping that she can progress and better herself after her past engagement to Zack, who is now Bliss’s fiancĂ©.
Warning: Spoilers ahead for season 4 of Love Is Blind on Netflix.
Bliss Poureetezadi from Love Is Blind wants to clear the air about her relationship with Irina Solomonova. Despite some rough moments between them, Bliss doesn’t hold a grudge against Irina.
The tension between Bliss, 33, and Irina, 26, began in the pods when they were both interested in Zack Goytowski. Things escalated on Zack’s birthday when Bliss was making cupcakes for him, and Irina forgot about his special day. Irina then asked for one of Bliss’s candles, which Bliss politely declined.
Ultimately, Zack chose Irina and proposed to her. However, their relationship soured quickly during their trip to Mexico, leading to a mutual decision to end their engagement. Irina, along with other Love Is Blind stars, encouraged Zack to pursue Bliss when he returned to Seattle.
Now that Zack and Bliss are happily engaged in episode 8, Bliss sees her past interactions with Irina as a minor setback in her life. She wishes Irina well, hoping for her growth, healing, and personal development.
Bliss reveals that there was more to the cupcake incident than viewers saw. Irina had used the ingredients for Bliss’s cupcakes, causing a buildup of tension. Despite the editing on the show, Bliss emphasizes that she repeatedly tried to convey that their competition for Zack’s heart was unnecessary.
Bliss looks back on a conversation with Irina that made her feel uneasy, even though there are no hard feelings between them. After Irina returned from Mexico, she texted Bliss saying she dodged a bullet, then quickly backtracked by saying it was mean. Bliss chose not to respond, feeling that their final conversation had already covered everything she needed to say. Despite having repeated the same conversation with Irina multiple times, Bliss was still disappointed by her behavior.
Recently, Irina reached out to apologize after the airing of the latest episodes, but they haven’t had a chance to speak in person. For Bliss, this incident happened a year ago and is just a small blip in her life. She has moved on from it and wishes everyone involved the best. It was just one part of her and Zack’s story, and she is focused on looking forward.
Following the release of the initial episodes, Irina and her fellow actor Micah Lussier faced criticism online for their actions on the show. They were accused of being “bullies” and “mean girls” for teaming up against other contestants and making jokes at their expense.
Bliss shared her thoughts on the fan response, acknowledging that Irina is now dealing with the consequences of her behavior. She emphasized that everyone has both good and bad qualities and urged for more understanding and forgiveness towards those in challenging situations.
Rather than spreading hate, Bliss encouraged people to show compassion and support by sending positive energy or prayers to those who may be struggling. Showing kindness and empathy, she believes, is more beneficial than attacking and causing suffering to others.
Irina has addressed her actions on the show, admitting that while she stayed true to herself, not all of her behavior was ideal. She expressed her eagerness to watch the show, gain new perspectives, and learn from any mistakes she may have made.
Despite being recorded all day, Irina acknowledged that there were moments where she wasn’t at her best. She is looking forward to seeing the final edit, growing from the experience, and presenting her best self.
Irina clarified that she harbors no ill intentions towards anyone and is open to resolving any misunderstandings that may arise. Regarding Zack and Bliss’s relationship, she revealed that she encouraged Zack to pursue Bliss before their breakup and holds no grudges against her. She understands that Bliss may have some unresolved feelings towards her, but she emphasized that she and Zack were not meant to be together.
