Micah Lussier and Paul Peden, who gained fame on the popular TV show Love Is Blind, revealed during the show’s reunion episode that they had actually continued dating after deciding not to get married. However, they still have different perspectives on their wedding day.
Micah emotionally confessed during the reunion that she was prepared to say “I do” during their wedding ceremony. However, she wanted Paul to have the opportunity to speak first before making her own vows. She tearfully expressed that she didn’t want to spend the rest of their lives wondering if Paul had only said yes to avoid embarrassing her. She needed reassurance that his decision was genuine and for himself.
On the other hand, Paul confirmed during the episode that he truly believed he made the right choice by choosing not to marry Micah.
In other news, Love Is Blind stars Jackie and Josh did not participate in the live reunion for Season 4.
Expressing his perspective, he mentioned the significance of owning one’s truth and how it can benefit both individuals in a relationship. Although he personally believes in making independent decisions, he acknowledges that he cannot fully comprehend the experience of having a partner choose and affirm him, which could potentially affect his response in a different situation.
Additionally, Paul acknowledged the controversy surrounding a comment he made during the finale, where he expressed doubts about Micah’s ability to be a mother. Reflecting on his phrasing, he admitted that it was unfair towards her and did not accurately reflect her capabilities. He realized that a better way to phrase it would have been to say that he couldn’t envision himself as a parent, just as he couldn’t envision Micah in that role.
This comment deeply affected Micah, as she felt it was the worst thing that could have been said. She believed that Paul knew how important becoming a mother was to her, and it was a topic she had discussed since their time in the pods, emphasizing the significance of starting a family.
Micah also revealed that during an off-screen date, Paul expressed uncertainty about wanting to have children in the future. This revelation greatly upset her, as she had always emphasized the importance of having kids. Surprisingly, this was the first time Paul had mentioned his reservations about starting a family, and Micah only found out about it after their wedding.
Despite their differences, Micah remained hopeful about their future together. However, another cast member from Love Is Blind season 4, Zack Goytowski, came to Paul’s defense and accused Micah of never intending to marry him.
After the show ended, Paul and Micah did continue to date for some time. However, their relationship quickly ended after Paul visited Micah in Arizona.
