In a never-before-seen twist in the Bachelor franchise, 22 extraordinary women in the prime of their lives are stepping into the limelight to search for lasting love with the dashing Golden Bachelor, Gerry Turner. With ages ranging from 60 to 75, these accomplished golden ladies are putting their established lives on hold, leaving behind their homes, friends, and families, all in the pursuit of rediscovering love – and perhaps even themselves – on the upcoming show, “The Golden Bachelor,” set to premiere on ABC this fall. Don’t worry if you miss the airings, as episodes can be watched on demand and on Hulu the day after they debut.
Gerry Turner, a retired restaurateur, devoted father, and doting grandfather, resides in his dream house by a serene lake in Indiana. His days are often filled with hosting lively barbeques, engaging in spirited games of pickleball, avidly supporting his beloved Chicago sports teams, indulging in thrilling four-wheeling adventures, and enjoying quality time with his loved ones at local restaurants and hangouts.
A true romantic at heart, Gerry tied the knot with his high school sweetheart, Toni, in 1974. Together, they led a joyous and fulfilling life, raising their two daughters, Angie and Jenny, and later welcoming two granddaughters, Charlee and Payton, into their lives. Sadly, after 43 years of marriage, Toni unexpectedly fell ill and passed away in 2017.
Now, six years after Toni’s passing and with his family’s unwavering support, Gerry is ready to embark on a journey to find a love that will withstand the tests of time during his golden years.
