Jackie from Love Is Blind recently shared with PEOPLE her thoughts on the decisions she had to make when Josh entered the picture and added more complexity to her already troubled relationship with Marshall.
Caution: The following post includes spoilers from the fourth season of Love Is Blind on Netflix.
Jackelina “Jackie” Bonds from Love Is Blind is sharing what she wishes she could do differently during her experience on the reality dating show.
The 27-year-old dental assistant tells PEOPLE that her only regret from Love Is Blind is not having a final conversation with Josh Demas in the pods before saying yes to Marshall Glaze’s proposal.
“The only thing I wish I had done differently is not having that closure with Josh in the pods,” she confesses. “That’s the one thing I feel bad about.”
However, the TV personality confidently states that she had no doubts when it came to ending things with Marshall after facing communication challenges post-pods on season 4 of Love Is Blind. “I knew I made the right decision for myself. It was straightforward,” she reflects on the breakup. “Well, maybe I kept things simple during the breakup, but I guess our relationship was more complicated.”
Similarly, Marshall shares a similar perspective with PEOPLE about his experience on the show. “Looking back, I have no regrets at all,” he reveals. “I believe everything happens for a reason. I hold no grudges or wish harm on anyone. Life is too short for negativity.”
The tension between the couple reached its peak in episode 10, as Jackie chose to skip her wedding dress fitting to meet with Josh for coffee. When Marshall returned home, he asked Jackie why she accepted his proposal. She explained that her feelings for him in the pods were real, but the outside world had influenced their relationship.
Jackie admitted feeling emotionally drained from the relationship and struggling to meet Marshall’s needs. Marshall countered, stating he had never asked for much and had always accommodated Jackie’s wishes. However, Jackie confessed that she did not feel the same kind of love for Marshall as she did for Josh, causing hurt and disappointment for Marshall.
Marshall requested the engagement ring back, believing Jackie did not deserve it for accepting his proposal without true feelings. Jackie, on the other hand, decided to keep the ring, insisting that her feelings in the pods were genuine and she accepted the proposal because she wanted to marry him.
