As the live reunion of
Love Is Blind
continued for almost an hour, exasperated viewers took to Twitter and began trending hashtags like “GET IT TOGETHER” and “Love Is Late.”
Netflix faced technical difficulties on Sunday night during the Love Is Blind reunion, leaving eager fans frustrated. Viewers encountered crashes, error messages, and a loading wheel of doom as they tried to tune in at the scheduled 8 p.m. ET time. Netflix apologized for the delay with a tweet saying, “Love Is…late,” and informed viewers that the show would start around 8:15 p.m. However, this further delayed the start, leaving fans waiting anxiously for updates.
Hosts Vanessa and Nick Lachey addressed the situation in an Instagram video from the set, jokingly stating that they had broken the internet. They thanked fans for their patience and assured them that they were ready to begin the reunion. Season 4 cast member Marshall Glaze also humorously commented on the problem, expressing his efforts to fix it.
Frustrated viewers took to social media to express their disappointment over the delay. Representative Alexandria Ocasio-Cortez even made a playful comment on Twitter, suggesting that a seamstress should be called to fix the issue. Queer Eye’s Karamo Brown joined in by referencing an iconic America’s Next Top Model meme, while Selling Sunset’s Chrishell Stause shared a video on Twitter, using loading screen music to signify her own anticipation for the special.
Other viewers took advantage of moments from the season to poke fun at Netflix’s extensive delay. Some even drew attention to HBO’s Sunday night episode of Succession, which had the potential to clash with Netflix’s delayed stream.
“Netflix, you have 34 minutes before Succession and Barry overshadow all the anticipation you built for this reunion. It’s embarrassing,” one viewer playfully tweeted.
During this whole debacle, hashtags like “GET IT TOGETHER,” “WTF Netflix,” and #loveislate gained traction on social media.
Sunday night’s program will showcase couples from the fourth season of Love Is Blind. Out of the five couples, Tiffany Pennywell and Brett Brown, Chelsea Griffin and Kwame Appiah, and Bliss Poureetezadi and Zack Goytowski sealed the deal and got married on the season finale.
However, Micah Lussier and Paul Peden, as well as Jackelina “Jackie” Bonds and Glaze, didn’t tie the knot.
