Nick Viall has raised doubts about the marriage between Gerry Turner and Theresa Nist, specifically questioning whether the couple signed a prenuptial agreement. In an interview with Page Six, Viall expressed his support for Theresa, stating that if she had requested a prenup, he would understand and back her decision. Viall, however, was unable to attend their wedding due to a prior commitment for his podcast.
While it remains unknown whether Turner and Nist established a legal agreement to protect their assets before getting married, Viall believes it would have been reasonable for Theresa to make such a request. He emphasized that love should be the primary focus in a marriage, suggesting that Turner should not have declined the prenup if it was indeed proposed.
Viall also mentioned that a prenup would align with Turner’s previous career as a restaurateur and owner of multiple eateries. However, there have been allegations against Turner regarding misrepresentation of his work history on The Golden Bachelor. A November 2023 exposé by The Hollywood Reporter claimed that Turner’s LinkedIn profile did not align with his statements about retiring at age 55.
In response to these claims, Turner briefly addressed the article in an interview with Katie Couric Media, acknowledging that there might be some truth to the allegations but emphasizing that he prefers to focus on the positive aspects of his life and relationship.
According to The Hollywood Reporter, there were allegations that Turner had lied about being single after his wife’s death in 2017. One of his supposed ex-girlfriends, known as Carolyn, claimed that Turner had body-shamed her before they attended his high-school reunion. She stated that he pointed at her and said, “I’m not taking you to the reunion looking like that.” This comment eventually led to their breakup in January 2020.
Regarding his dating history, Turner admitted to Katie Couric Media that he had been involved with many women but questioned the definition of a relationship. He clarified that the relationship mentioned in The Hollywood Reporter did not last for a few years. He emphasized wanting to focus on his present situation.
Regardless of their prenuptial agreement status, Turner and Nist have been happily married and have been recreating their first special date by visiting various diners across New Jersey. Turner shared photos from their recent diner date on Instagram, expressing his enjoyment of the experience. He mentioned that there are still 529 more diners to explore, and he expects to be busy with this endeavor until June 2025.
