With the help of the claim owner’s daughter, Aurora, they begin to explore the area and uncover signs of past mining operations, such as an ancient dredge and tunnels dug into the earth. Encouraged by what they find, Parker and Mitchell start to feel hopeful about the potential gold hidden within the claim. Aurora then points out a mound of dirt with a birch tree growing on top, a telltale sign of possible gold presence.
