Out of the blue, the landowner Troy Taylor, who owns the claims Rick is leasing, presents him with an unexpected proposition to purchase the property. Troy is willing to sell and asks for a down payment of 150 ounces, which amounts to a hefty quarter of a million dollars.
Feeling uncertain about the offer, Rick needs some time to weigh the financial implications and the timing of the opportunity. To boost their gold production, Rick and his crew member Kyle Lawson, a former iron worker from Yukon, come up with a plan to run both wash plants simultaneously. Kyle eagerly takes up the challenge to secure the extra 150 ounces needed.
