Tammy Slaton has achieved a significant milestone during her journey to transform her body. On an upcoming episode of the reality show 1000-Lb Sisters, Tammy takes her first plane ride, accompanied by her sisters Misty and Amanda. In an interview, Tammy admits to feeling scared before the flight, stating, “Getting on the plane, I’m shaking.”
Despite her impressive weight loss of approximately 440 pounds after undergoing bariatric surgery in 2022, Tammy took extra precautions for the flight to Pensacola, Florida. She purchased two adjacent seats in coach to ensure her comfort. However, to her surprise, she discovered she could fit in just one seat and was able to buckle her seatbelt as well.
During the flight, Tammy faced another possible challenge as the aircraft experienced turbulence. She admits, “I was cool until we actually started lifting off. My family forgot to mention some stuff about the plane ride. The turbulence was really bad. Once I compared it to things I’ve already experienced, like riding in a car or going over train tracks, I felt better.”
Upon landing in Pensacola, Tammy celebrates her achievement, exclaiming, “We made it! Safely!” She jokingly remarks, “I’m alive!” as she is wheeled through the airport. In her confessional, she expresses her joy in being able to share this victory with her family and expresses her readiness for more accomplishments.
