Tammy Slaton, known for her appearance on the reality show 1000-lb Sisters, has faced numerous challenges in her life. She spent time receiving treatment at a food rehabilitation center and tragically experienced the loss of her husband Caleb Willingham just seven months after their marriage.
However, Tammy is showing her resilience and determination to overcome these hardships. Taking to TikTok, she shared a video of herself singing along to the popular song “Survivor” by Destiny’s Child. In the caption, she expressed her emotions by stating, “I’m the survivor,” accompanied by a row of flexing biceps emojis.
Throughout the video, Tammy lip-synced most of the song, emphasizing the lyrics, “I’m a survivor, I’m gonna make it. I will survive and keep on surviving.” Her fans took to the comments section to commend her for her progress and how far she has come.

Fans of the reality star have been showering her with praise and support. One fan expressed their pride by saying, “Queen Tammy, we are all incredibly proud of you! I love you so much and you are absolutely stunning.”
When Tammy began her weight loss journey, she weighed 717lbs (51.2 stone). However, with her determination and a stay at a food rehabilitation center, she has managed to transform her life and shed around 400lbs (28.6 stone).
Unfortunately, Tammy has faced some hardships in her life. In June, it was revealed that her husband, Caleb Willingham, had passed away. Their marriage had only lasted since November 2022.
Tammy recently opened up about the devastating news of her husband’s death. She learned about it through a text message after leaving the rehab facility where they had met. Caleb had chosen to stay behind.
A mutual friend informed Tammy that Caleb’s health had worsened and he was gravely ill. Tammy described her reaction, saying, “I was curled up in a ball. I received a text message from his friend, saying, ‘Caleb’s not doing well. They’re trying to save him.’ Twenty minutes later, he texted me again, saying he was gone.”
Despite her heartbreak, Tammy shared that she is coping “fairly well” with Caleb’s passing. To keep his memory close, she wears two pieces of jewelry made from his ashes—a ring and a necklace. She finds comfort in knowing that he is always with her. Tammy admitted that she often holds the necklace, and taking off her jewelry makes her anxious, as if she is separated from Caleb. Additionally, she watches episodes of 1000-lb Sisters to remind herself of happier moments shared with him.
