However, Amy decided to purchase a new home for her own family, which includes her now-estranged husband Michael and their sons Gage and Glenn. The family settled in a new house in Morganfield, Kentucky, in 2021, which Amy bought for $37,000.
Tammy’s journey has not been without challenges. She spent fourteen months in a weight loss rehabilitation facility in Ohio and was released in February 2023. Sadly, while she was away, thieves targeted her Dixon duplex in May 2022. They forcefully entered by breaking down the back door and stole valuable items such as her washer and dryer, refrigerator, sinks, water heater, and a dresser containing all her clothing.

Responding to a fan’s question about their upbringing, Amanda disclosed that they grew up in poverty with their single mother raising five kids. Their grandmother played a significant role in caring for them, and their Uncle Kevin also had a major influence on their upbringing.
Tammy from the reality TV show “1000-Lb. Sisters” revealed that she has made a significant change in her lifestyle by giving up her excessive soda consumption. Previously, she used to drink an astonishing 8 to 12 sodas per day.
When asked about her financial situation, Tammy candidly shared, “We were in such dire straits that we didn’t have any means to support ourselves. It was a really tough time for us.” However, she chose not to dwell on the past and instead emphasized that she doesn’t want any sympathy from others. Tammy firmly stated, “I want people to see us for who we are as individuals. We are genuinely good-hearted individuals who have always tried our best to raise our children right.”
