Micah from Love Is Blind is here to clear things up.
The 27-year-old marketing manager revealed to PEOPLE that she stands by her decision to turn down Kwame in the pods in favor of pursuing a connection with Paul on season 4 of the popular Netflix series.
“When I picked Paul during the pod sessions, I was confident in my choice,” she explained. “I was never really interested in pursuing anything further with Kwame.”
She acknowledges that people might have misinterpreted her behavior based on her body language when she first met Kwame in Mexico. “I can see how my outgoing nature might be mistaken for flirting, but that’s just who I am,” she explains. “I believe in being true to myself and not putting on a fake persona. My only worry is if I unintentionally caused any discomfort or issues in someone else’s relationship.”
Despite their previous breakup in the pods, Micah was excited to finally meet Kwame in person in Mexico. “Kwame exceeded my expectations in terms of looks and personality,” she says.
Kwame expressed his deep connection with Micah, emphasizing that her physical appearance was not as important to him as her presence. “Micah is captivating to me, regardless of her looks. She’s truly beautiful, and I’m drawn to her,” he admits.
Micah reciprocated the compliment, sharing that Kwame’s looks and personality matched perfectly, unlike her fiancé.
Despite the strong emotional bond between them, Micah emphasized that her only desire was for Kwame to find happiness, stating, “I truly care about you and the special connection we shared. I still think of you and wish only the best for you. I just want you to feel true happiness, and I hope that Chelsea brings you that joy.”
Kwame responded by praising Micah’s kind heart, acknowledging the depth of their feelings for each other and the pain of their breakup. Micah explained that her decision to end things was not because she didn’t care for him, but because she needed time to reflect and ensure she was making the right choice for both of them. She confessed that she could have seen a future with him due to the reassurance and strength he provided her.
Feeling hurt, Kwame expressed that perhaps his destiny was always to be with his fiancée Chelsea. Despite this, he felt that their true connection was essential for both of them to move forward.
Tensions rose between Micah and Kwame when she made a toast referencing a “failed proposal,” leading to a private conversation where Micah clarified that her words were not meant to be hurtful or negative toward him.
Meanwhile, Chelsea, noticing their interaction, felt uneasy and expressed a desire to leave the party and return home.
